Jesus the King
by City on a Hill Church, Brookline MA
Jesus may be the single most controversial person in history. Some people think he was simply a great human teacher who was tragically killed by the Roman government. Others think Jesus was a humble, marginalized, Jewish peasant who, after his death, was touted as a divine being by his devoted followers. Still others believe that Jesus was both fully God and fully man whose primary purpose was to suffer and die on a cross to reconcile people to God. The Gospel of Mark is the oldest of the recorded narratives of Jesus’ life and death. Through this series we will journey through Mark together and see Mark hold Jesus Christ up as nothing less than God in human form come into the world to offer eternal life and hope.
