This week our Pre K - 5th graders saw Jesus ascend into heaven and promised that He would send a helper to help them share the gospel with others. Next week we look forward to learning about the day of Pentecost! In our 2 - 3 year old class, your child learned about Jesus loving the little children from Matthew 19. Singing "Jesus Loves Me" with your child is a good way to reinforce this lesson.

In our Pre-K though 5th grade ministry, we made maps with the words "Go make disciples of all nations" based on Matthew 28:19-20 which is called the Great Commission. Your kids were challenged to share the gospel not only with their friends but with their whole community!

Based on the story from Matthew 8, today your child learned that even the wind and water obey Jesus. In our older children's ministry, the PreK - 5th grade classes saw Jesus having breakfast with His disciples and Peter's faith was restored in receiving forgiveness for denying Christ. Even though the disciples had failed Jesus during His arrest, He still wanted to use them to tell others about God's rescue plan of salvation.
